I really did enjoyed the outreach. I am a teacher and it was really good to experience how teachers work in Kenya. It is very different compared to Switzerland where I teach. People are very flexible in Kenya. At first it was a bit hard for me only to be told what to teach in the Morning and I had only 10 minutes to prepare myself, but later I got used to it. The Kenyan culture is very flexible and open. I learned a lot for sure.

It was my second time in Africa, so I knew what to expect, but it was still another new good experience. Being away from home made me learn a lot about myself. People are friendly and so easy to work with. I for sure took a lot back with me. I will miss the people for sure. Helping in the kitchen and giving the needy kids food was one of my biggest highlight. It is something which will stay in my mind and heart for a long time. It made me appreciate what I have instead of complaining of what I do not have.

For me it was just an amazing time and 2 weeks didn’t seem enough. The children are lacking a lot but they are still very joyful. Some do not know what they will eat the next day but they still are capable of smiling and enjoying the moment. I learnt a lot especially about life. The team was very united, flexible and always ready to work together.

I liked how flexible people were. Things/Plans kept on changing a lot and people just went with the flow. I liked how people worked together in our group. Everyone was excited and motivated. We became friends and we lived as a family. For sure I would like to go back. I miss the people.

Hospitality was amazing. People do not have enough but they joyfully give away. I feel like I received more than I gave. It was a really good time and I will miss it.

At first things/plans were abit complicated for me. Plans were so random and kept on changing and I felt like I did not have enough time to prepare myself. But later I got used to it and I actually started enjoying it. I loved every bit. I will miss the food, people and the weather.

The place we stayed at was very good and very close to the community we were working with, this made it easier to connect with the locals. Kenyan food is the best. I love chapatis and beans and am glad I learnt how to cook them. We did a lot, but we also had enough time to rest and see some parts of the country. The outreach was very good organized and happy of what we achieved. The leadership was amazing, so flexible, friendly, encouraging and easy to talk to. My greatest highlights are when helped in a local clinic treating the kids with parasites in their feet, when I visited the locals in their homes and shared stories with, and of course the safari. Yes, I feel like I achieved the goal I had set before the outreach and I even had more good experiences. I am sure the little things we did made a big change. I went through a culture shock, but I handled it well. I learned a lot from the locals and I really hope they also learned something from me.I recommend Cultural Bridge outreach to everyone out there. My title for outreach is `PASSIONATE

The place we stayed was well balanced, not so luxurious and not so cheap. It gave me a good taste of Kenya immediately I arrived. The programs we had were very flexible and fruitful. It was not fixed and stressful, we could easily change things according to the situation. It was well organized. We had enough of free times and doing a safari was a dream come true for me.The food was extremely good, I loved it. The leadership was awesome, very flexible and easy going. Philip and Myriam are good people. My greatest highlights were treating the kid’s feet, cooking for the kids, sharing stories with the locals, our team was awesome and of course the safari during our free day. Yes, I feel like I fully achieved my goal and we as a team we made a difference. I feel like gain a lot than the locals. I learnt too much things, especially how to appreciate what I have. I recommend Cultural Bridge outreach to all. Thankfully I handled the culture shock well. My title for the outreach is AN ADVENTURE WHICH I WILL NEVER FORGET.

The played was cool and close to the ocean. I was glad that we could swim every evening and sometimes in the mornings too. I really liked how everything was organized. We did a lot and had enough time to see a bit of the country. The food was good, and I really liked that we did not always go to fancy hotels for meals but cooked local food by ourselves. That was a good experience. The number of the team members was perfect (13). The leadership was reliable, trustworthy and helpful. It was good that we had a local (Philip) as a leader so we did not feel so much like tourists. My greatest highlights were playing with the kids, feeding the kids and sharing stories with the locals. Yes, am ready to do the outreach again. My goal was reached. I recommend Cultural Bridge outreach to all. My title for the outreach is HOW STRANGERS BECAME FAMILY.

The place we stayed was perfect, close to the ocean. The program was well organized. It was a mixer of every team member`s ideas and wishes. The food was really good. The number of the team members was ok, a bit too much (13) to know each member well in two weeks’ time. But I really had a good time with every member. The leadership was good. I think it has to with that Philip is Kenyan and Swiss (he has lived in Switzerland for a while), so he knew how to balance things. He understood both us and the locals. My best highlights were how great the team was, the balance between the programs time and the free times, learning a new culture and not through television or photos. I recommend Cultural Bridge outreach to all and especially to young people. I have a great feeling that I achieved my goal. My title is BE A COMMUNITY, BECOME UNITY.

I loved the place we stayed at. It was very simple. We had enough free times and everything was well organized. The food was very good. We had a very good team, always motivated. I had a lot of fun with them. For the leadership was perfect. Very easy going and fun to be around. My greatest highlights were when we treated the kid’s feet, helping a couple who were involved in a car accident, the flight to Kenya, playing football with the kids and seeing them having fun and feeding the needy kids. I think everything was a big highlight for me. I will definitely do another outreach with Cultural Bridge and I recommend Cultural Bridge outreach to all. I did not have a big cultural shock, I handled it well. Yes, I have a feeling that we as a team made a good impact. My title for the outreach is BLESSED.

The place we stayed at was very good. Every time we finished our programs, we had time to swim in the ocean and relax. The leadership was good, they communicated clear and it was so easy to trust them. Every team member had an opportunity to bring in their ideas. I really enjoyed the food. It was tasty. My greatest highlights were when we found helpless man and a woman involved in an accident on the roadside and we took them to the hospital and made sure they were treated, feeding the kids was also one of my best moments and playing football with the kids. Of course, I will do the outreach again. I feel like I gained more than I gave. I learnt a lot. Yes, I recommend Cultural Bridge outreach to all. My title for the outreach is WONDERFUL DREAM.

We stayed in a nice place. Swimming every evening motivated us. Programs were well organized. Everything was flexible, and every member had an opportunity of doing something he or she wanted. We had enough free times and am glad we did not have to work till late evening. The number of the team members was good, a little bit more would complicate things. The leadership was amazing, they treated every request with respect. It was so easy to tell them our problems anytime. My greatest highlights were the times we spent in the village, the beautiful beach, interaction with the kids, our team and the safari. Yes, I felt like my goal was reached and I recommend Cultural Bridge outreach to all. My title for the outreach is ANOTHER WORLD.

We stayed in a simple place and that was good. The food was very good and the meals times were good too. But maybe the breakfast should be a bit later so that we can have enough time for ourselves after we wake up. Programs were really good, every team members could bring up their ideas and it was well respected. The size of the team (13) was perfect. I thank the leadership, they were really good. My greatest highlights were treating the feet of the kids, it hurt me to see the pain they go through, feeding the kids, dancing with the kids, painting the school and teaching the kids. Yes i recommend Cultural bridge outreach to all. My title for the outreach is THANKFUL
